These ceramic Vessels are covered with a pattern that attempts an old-school DDOS (distributed denial-of-service) attack on facial recognition software; thus protecting you from face identifying technology. The adapted version of Hyperface on ceramics, an analog technology, is an attempt to control modern digital technology.

BIOGRAPHY
Ash Kyrie was raised in a blue-collar town in northern Wisconsin where he joined the Army National Guard at the age of 18. He was deployed to Iraq during the first rotation of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. Serving the standard six year military contract, Ash rose to the rank of e-5 sergeant.
After returning from the war, Ash continued his studies in the University of Wisconsin-Madison arts program. In 2007 he graduated with a BFA emphasizing sculpture and photography. He graduated The Ohio State University with an MFA, with a concentration in Comparative Cultural Studies. While at Ohio State, Ash taught 300 to 600 level collegiate courses in both his major and minor departments. Ash Kyrie's artwork engages beauty, composition, and abstracted spacial planes.
